finding beauty in the everyday 3...

windows
by donovan holtz

across the headlands
the forest masses
under gray skies
and mist
into a solid wall
of muted gray
through which cars
glide skirting noiselessly
the rocky edge.
through a window
i watch, windows are
for watching -
square pieces of life
ever changing.

VA

The film on my old twin lens camera got stuck and wouldn't advance, so this is the only picture I could take. This is a picture of my husband on the beach. It was such a beautiful day and the beach was so peaceful.

More pictures from my Diana camera coming soon!

chicago

These are pictures from my trip to Chicago, when I got engaged in Oct. of 2008. Yes, I know it has been a few years, but I just got the film developed.
Brant, my now husband asked me to marry him on top of the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel the day after our 4 year anniversary. It was so beautiful, with the city lights on my right and the water on my left. Just thought I'd share them.

I used an old twin lens camera I found at a flea market for $5.

Thanks for looking!
